The Youth Engagement Specialist works directly with students, schools, employers, and community partners to prepare youth for successful careers and post-secondary opportunities. This position provides individualized career coaching and case management while coordinating work-based learning experiences - including job shadows, internships, career fairs, workshops, and employer partnerships, that help students build the skills and experience needed for future success.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and maintain relationships with school district administrators, teachers, students, employers, and community partners to promote and deliver WBL activities. Serve as a liaison between education and business by coordinating career awareness experiences in targeted employment sectors, including guest speakers, job shadowing, mock interviews, field trips, mentoring, and company tours. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate job fairs, career days, workshops, seminars, and other employment-related events. Coordinate and support student participation in work experiences, internships, career exploration activities, and other individualized services identified through case management. Collect, track, and report participation data and outcomes related to WBL activities. Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to ensure high-quality, consistent WBL programming.
