NFI North is seeking Direct Care Counselors to work first shift hours Monday-Friday at our 16-bed adult program which has been relocated to Arbor View in Newport, NH. This program is a residential treatment and day program with a progressive reputation of providing comprehensive clinical, vocational services, case management, and life skills for adults living with mental illness who are seeking independent living. Many of our participants get back into the community by volunteering, gaining employment, and transitioning into apartments with the support of our amazing staff team.
Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily activities of participants, providing ongoing support, guidance, and role modeling. Facilitate participant improvement in the areas of personal responsibility, social skills, medication monitoring and administration, community living skills, and behavior. Facilitate groups and provide transportation for medical appointments. Our staff create a culture of belonging and empower our participants.Qualifications:
Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred, and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with client population.
