Sterling Personnel is looking to hire a full-time Lead Human Service Specialist, in this role you would be responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily operations of day habilitation services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures effective scheduling of services, staff coverage, and transportation routes while providing direct support and supervision to individuals served.
Job Description:
The Lead Program Facilitator is responsible for the overall scheduling of day services and coordinating daily coverage of van routes. It includes overall supervision of the teaching and assisting persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team, supervision with daily activities of money management, cooking, safety, nutrition, social skills, etc. The Lead HST is also responsible for Medicaid billing logs and progress notes, daily service logs, purchasing of program supplies, providing community support activities and monitoring the maintenance of the center vehicles. Other job duties involve teaching and assisting persons with intellectual disabilities, supervision with daily activities of money management, cooking, nutrition, safety, etc. Periodic assistance with medical appointments, community activities is included, documentation of services, Medicaid billing, and maintenance of vehicles are also applicable job duties. This position is under the immediate supervision of the Coordinator of Day Services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience assisting persons with intellectual disabilities Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation or GED, plus 3 years' experience in positions related to the duties of this position. Current and valid Texas Class C, good driving record, proof of liability insurance. Ability to Type 30 WPM Supervisory Experience Work history demonstrates an ability to work under minimal supervision. Must have a stable work record demonstrated by longevity with previous employer. (2 yrs. or longer) Ability to utilize computer-based data for documentation Experience with Medicaid waiver programs is a plus Ability to Type 50
