KSA's/Required Qualifications Required:
Demonstrated experience working with students with disabilities. Previous work-related experience with assistive support technologies. Considerable experience using student information system. Work related administrative experience. Previous work in an office environment.Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of working with students with disabilities. Thorough knowledge and experience of the Americans with Disabilities Act Section 504 & 508 of Rehabilitation Act and its implications for the college student populations. Proven knowledge of providing reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities. Comprehensive knowledge of various assistive technology tools. General knowledge of academic programs of study. Expanded knowledge of FERPA. Knowledgeable of accessibility standards and best practices including Web Accessibility Guidelines.Skills:
Highly skilled in the operation of standard office equipment, computers/laptops, related software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with individuals at all levels of the College and community. Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to:
Assess and make appropriate referrals as necessary to students who present in crises. Utilize, and train students and faculty with assistive technology. Demonstrate comfort working with students with apparent and non-apparent disabilities. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy. Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in working with students with disabilities. Work independently or in a team environment. Work at all campus locations.
