COMMITMENT TO TRAUMA INFORMED CARE
Telamon|TRC has taken steps to shift our organization into a Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) model. This changes our perceptions about the individuals that we work with, employees and customers, including families and children. A trauma-informed system of care provides services that empower employees and customers, including families and children, to feel safe, welcomed and engaged at all levels of organizational interaction. Exchanges that could be potentially retraumatizing, or trigger traumatic reactions require thoughtfulness and non-judgement. Ongoing, as an organization, we collaborate to educate employees about the effects of violence, victimization and trauma on individuals. This model supports a culture of safety for employees and customers, including families and children.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides in-office career advising and case management services to include outreach and recruitment efforts, career pathways development, education, job placement and related support to customers. Coordinates with wide range of community partners and resources, engaging them in recruitment process by developing referral methods benefitting all parties. Engages customers to assist in developing and reaching realistic, achievable long
  • and short-term educational and/or career goals, develops individual service strategies and plans, assesses customer needs and strengths.
Supports customer in taking action to reach their goals. Remains abreast of workforce trends and industry changes in order to assist customers in attainment and retention of employment goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operates within training and employment programs for designated service area to ensure successful completion of designated goals with customers and to meet or exceed established performance expectations. 2. Recommends improvement to services. 3. Performs quality and compliance audits as well as peer audits. 4. Serves as subject matter expert for program issues and customer record database problems. 5. Provides information and education to the community and employers about available Agency programs. This can be done in-person, virtually or in group presentation format. 6. Recruits possible customers and identifies qualified participants. 7. Administers and evaluates assessments to determine barriers, needs, strengths and weaknesses as well as identify career goals. 8. Completes the enrollment process. 9. Develops and maintains relationships with training providers. 10. Always maintains confidentiality. 11. Provides services to eligible customers following customer-centered design, including interviews and assessments, assisting with job searches and career exploration, providing job readiness and training activities and resume writing. 12. Provides career counseling including helping to set realistic employability goals. 13. Creates and maintains records including attendance reports and financial tracking. 14. Prepares and reviews training contracts. Monitors contracts to budget. 15. Performs case management duties including monitoring and documenting client progress. 16. Builds strong partnerships with local agencies/members to gain employment opportunities for clients. 17. Assists clients in finding and benefiting from community resources. Partners with other resource agencies. 18. May perform general office administrative work including completing and submitting client invoices, purchases orders, vouchers etc. 19. Attends workshops and conferences as deemed necessary by supervisor. 20. Interprets and applies labor market trends to inform career exploration, strategic partnership, case management and service delivery. 21. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SAFETY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring a secure workplace is a collective effort. All employees are responsible for adhering to established safe work practices and completing all mandatory safety training by the assigned due date.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly supervises Work Experience clients. This may include participation in the recruitment/selection process, employee training, onboarding, conducting performance coaching/ evaluation, compensation administration, delegation of duties and conflict resolution. Promotes an environment of teamwork and cooperation and is accessible to employees.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree with written approval in the form of a waiver. Completion of Workforce Development Apprenticeship obtaining CWDP within 18 months of hire. Completion of Worker Safety Training within 45 days of hire. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Services, Workforce Development, Case Management or related field. Must have own reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, information technology and on-line client management systems. Bilingual ability is a bonus. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Regular in-state travel, with occasional overnight and out of state travel up to 25%. Sitting, walking, stooping, squatting, lifting (up to30 lbs.), carrying, pushing and climbing. Typing and data entry and use of telephone. Driving and/or sitting for prolonged periods. Occasional exposure to adverse weather during field work.
Background Checks:
All employees are subject to both a pre-hire and an annual background check. Specific rules by Area of Focus will indicate whether a state or federal fingerprint background check (or both) is required and the frequency. A fingerprint background check may suffice for a regular background check. Additional background checks may be required such as the Child Abuse and Neglect State Registry, and the Sex Offender Registry. Positions that
Require Driving:
Telamon|TRC employees that are required to drive a personal vehicle for work-related duties are to meet the auto insurance liability requirement. The minimum limits required are $100,000 each person bodily injury, $300,000 each accident bodily injury and $50,000 property damage. The insurance liability requirement covers use of an employee's personal vehicle. Telamon|TRC employees that drive a company-owned/rental vehicle must maintain a satisfactory annual motor vehicle record check.
