She is non-verbal, gentle, happy, active and loves to explore. The role is primarily attentive supervision, companionship, and personal care — in the family home and on outings around Burlingame. Responsibilities Continuous, attentive supervision to keep her safe and engaged (she loves to explore but has low safety awareness) Companionship and engagement through play and daily activities Accompanying her on walks to the local park or downtown Supporting socialization and communication-skill building — basic sign language and AAC (communication device) use; very basic, and training will be provided! G-tube feeding (full training and support provided — no prior G-tube experience required) Assisting with diapering, bathing, and personal care Requirements Experience working with children (special needs strongly preferred) Strong references Must have your own reliable vehicle and valid driver's license Willing to be paid through payroll (IHSS) — a plus if you're already an IHSS provider; enrollment support provided if not Able to pass a background check Patient, dependable, warm, and trustworthy Ideal experience (one or more of the following) Paraprofessional or teacher's aide Special education teacher / special needs educator Occupational, physical, or speech therapist (or a student/assistant in these fields) Special-needs caregiving experience in a private setting Pediatric home-health aide Schedule (starting ASAP) During school holidays: 2 weekdays (flexible on which days) Every Sunday Every 2nd Saturday Flexible starts (ideally ~10am
