About Amistad Amistad Assisted Living and Memory Care Home is a 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly providing personalized care to seniors, including residents living with dementia and memory-related conditions. Our small, home-like environment allows caregivers to build meaningful relationships with residents while providing attentive, individualized care. Our staffing model provides 2 caregivers for 6 residents , allowing our team to focus on quality care, safety, and consistency.

"With Love for Love." Position Overview We are seeking dependable, compassionate, and responsible Caregivers to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys caring for seniors and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. Prior experience is helpful, but we provide on-the-job training and comprehensive dementia and caregiver training. The right candidate must be willing to actively participate in all aspects of maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and loving home for our residents. Responsibilities Caregivers may be responsible for: Providing compassionate, respectful care to seniors, including residents with dementia Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care Changing diapers and providing personal hygiene assistance Safely lifting, transferring, repositioning, and assisting residents with mobility Assisting with meals and feeding as needed Cooking and preparing meals in the facility Cleaning and sanitizing resident and common areas Laundry and general housekeeping Maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the facility Assisting with general upkeep of the facility and property Learning and performing medication management responsibilities as permitted by training and applicable regulations Monitoring residents and reporting changes in condition or behavior Assisting with activities, companionship, and meaningful engagement Following all facility policies, procedures, and written instructions Completing required documentation accurately and consistently Maintaining resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality Caregiver Daily Agenda & Technology Our caregivers are expected to follow a written Caregiver Daily Agenda , which provides the daily structure, responsibilities, care expectations, and operational procedures for the shift. Caregivers will also be required to use a facility-provided iPad for applicable documentation, communication, care tasks, schedules, and facility procedures. Attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow written SOPs are essential to this position. Training Provided We believe in developing our caregivers and providing the tools necessary to succeed. On-the-job training is provided , including: Dementia and memory-care training Required caregiver training through Care & Compliance Facility-specific procedures and SOPs Medication management training Personal care and resident assistance procedures Documentation requirements Emergency and safety procedures Training on our Caregiver Daily Agenda Training on facility technology and iPad use Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but individuals who demonstrate the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Prior caregiving, senior care, dementia care, or healthcare experience is preferred Must be comfortable lifting, transferring, and assisting residents Must be comfortable providing hands-on personal and incontinence care Must be willing to cook and perform housekeeping duties Must be willing to learn medication management procedures Must be able to follow written SOPs and daily care instructions Must be comfortable using an iPad and basic technology Must be dependable and punctual Must communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members Must be able to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team Must successfully pass a fingerprint-based background check (Live Scan) Must complete required caregiver and dementia training Must be willing to follow all facility policies and procedures What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who understands that caregiving is more than completing a checklist.
