Idyllwild, CA 92549 We are hiring a reliable, compassionate, and dependable caregiver for a very sweet 78-year-old female client in Idyllwild.

Schedule Saturday and Sunday:

12:00 PM-5:00 PM 10 hours per week $20/hour Immediate opening Part-time opportunity - students are welcome to apply! Preference given to caregivers who already live in Idyllwild or nearby mountain communities About the Client The client is a very sweet 78-year-old female who is discharging from rehab following a fall. She does not use a walker but needs a caregiver for companionship, supervision, and fall-risk support . She is experiencing early signs of dementia and mild cognitive decline , so we are looking for someone who is patient, kind, easygoing, and comfortable providing gentle supervision and support. Responsibilities Provide companionship and supervision Assist with fall-risk prevention and safe mobility Assist with meal preparation and cooking Perform light housekeeping Provide support while encouraging the client to remain independent Supervise the client while she walks around the home, including trips downstairs to her freezer Provide patient and reassuring support as needed Preferred Local Areas Applicants from the following areas are encouraged to apply: Idyllwild Idyllwild-Pine Cove Pine Cove Fern Valley Mountain Center Valle Vista Hemet San Jacinto Anza Banning Other nearby communities Additional Information Client has 2 indoor cats . The cats must not be allowed outdoors . The home is located on a hill. Ideal caregiver is patient, compassionate, easygoing, dependable, and comfortable working with an older adult experiencing early signs of dementia . Local caregivers are strongly preferred due to the mountain location and reliable weekend coverage needed.

Caregiver Requirements Applicants must have:

Active HCA Registry Current TB test or willingness to obtain one within 14 days of employment Valid driver's license Active auto insurance policy Ability to complete 5 hours of required training within 14 days of employment In-office orientation is required Great Part-Time Opportunity!
