Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various living environments. This role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring health and safety, and ensuring a comfortable, safe, and engaging environment for clients. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs in accordance with care plans Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling during transfers Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and comfort Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of all client information and documentation of care activities Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Familiarity with medication management, patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, and care plan implementation Ability to assist with ADLs using proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders or intellectual disabilities support Competence in administering first aid and CPR in emergency situations Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines This position is ideal for compassionate caregivers eager to provide personalized support in a dynamic environment.
