Family Caregiver Mercy Home Services - 4.8 Colorado Springs, CO Job Details Full-time Up to $70,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid sick time Qualifications Toileting assistance Housekeeping assistance Dressing assistance Patient hygiene assistance Cleaning Medicaid Patient medication reminders Bathing assistance Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description Family Caregiver - Get Paid to Care for Your Parent, Spouse or Loved One You already give the baths, sort the pills and get up at 2 a.m. In Colorado, that care can be your paid job. Up to about $60,000 a year, depending on the hours authorized. Paid every week. Look after your own parent, husband, wife or loved one. They choose you. No stranger involved. A schedule built around their care plan, not an agency's shift board. No certification or experience needed. Training provided. Apply here. We call you, explain everything, and walk you through the Medicaid paperwork at no cost. How It Works Colorado's Community First Choice program lets the person who needs care choose their own caregiver: a daughter, son, spouse or close friend. You become an employee of Mercy, a state-approved agency, with W-2 pay, taxes withheld and workers' compensation. They choose you. Mercy employs you. Medicaid pays. If You Are Thinking "Taking money to care for my mother feels wrong." Colorado built this program because family care is real work. You're still her daughter. "She only has Medicare." Most of our families started there. We help you apply for Medicaid. "I still have another job." Fewer hours fit around it. More hours, and this becomes the job. You decide. "I can't keep doing this alone." When her hours are more than one person can be paid for, we hire a second caregiver from your family. "Can I be paid for the years I've already done?" No, and we're sorry. Pay starts once her care plan and prior authorization are approved. Every week you wait is a week unpaid. What Happens After You Apply 1. You get a call from us. No cost, no obligation, no résumé needed. 2. Together, we sort out Medicaid, with her Case Manager or from the very first form. 3. You finish a background check and training. Then you give the same care, with a paycheck. The Job Bathing, dressing, the bathroom, getting around safely, meals, light housekeeping and medication reminders. You clock in and out on your phone. You're 18 or older, authorized to work in the U.S., able to pass a background check, and caring for someone who needs hands-on help every day. About Mercy Family-owned in Aurora since 1997. On Colorado's approved IHSS and CFC provider list and a VA Community Care network participant. Not a call center, not a franchise: the person who answers your call walks you through every step.
