In this role, you will provide personalized care and assistance to our mother in her home, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to empower someone while developing your skills in caregiving and support services.

Location:

Pueblo, Colorado Coverage needed: 7 days per week, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (some flexibility will be considered) Hours per attendant: Generally, 16-40 hours per week, depending on availability and how shifts are divided among the team This is a team-based schedule. We are hiring multiple attendants so that coverage can be shared across the week. No one person is expected to work all seven days. We are looking for attendants who can consistently work at minimum 16 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 32-40 hours per week. There is also an opportunity to work more hours when a fellow attendant needs to take time off. Responsibilities Responsibilities may include a combination of Homemaker, Personal Care, and Health Maintenance Activities, consistent with the individual's approved CDASS services.

Typical duties include:

Meal preparation Housekeeping and household chores Laundry and other daily living support Medication assistance Ostomy appliance support, including helping apply/change the ostomy appliance and helping maintain healthy skin around the stoma (The individual is able to empty her ostomy bag independently. The main support needed is with applying/changing the appliance and caring for the surrounding skin.) Other personal care and health-maintenance tasks as needed and authorized Communication with family about client's well-being Qualifications We are looking for attendants who are dependable, respectful, comfortable working independently in a home setting, and willing to learn the individual's routines and preferences. We also need attendants who can commit to a dependable recurring schedule and communicate promptly about any needed schedule changes. Prior caregiving, CNA, home health, personal care, medication assistance, or ostomy experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate who is reliable and willing to learn. Training will be provided for the individual's specific care routines, including medication assistance and ostomy appliance/skin care, as needed. Because this is a CDASS position, attendants are hired and managed directly by the individual/family through the program rather than through a traditional home-care agency.
