Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and environments to meet their specific needs. Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding daily progress, behavior, and any concerns. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of abuse or neglect promptly and appropriately. Ensure a clean, safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR protocols. Assist with homework, educational activities, and behavior management strategies to foster positive development. Experience Prior experience working with children across various age groups in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying roles. Demonstrated experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children with a focus on childhood development principles. Knowledge of early childhood education practices, behavior management techniques, and activity planning for young children. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood safety is preferred. Experience adhering to mandated reporting laws and understanding youth programs teaching experience is advantageous. Classroom or daycare experience that includes child supervision, activity planning for children's growth milestones, and classroom experience is valued.
