The Caregiver will help clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while ensuring their safety and well-being in a home or care facility setting. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Help clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation while following safe lifting techniques. Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences. Remind clients to take medications as directed (in accordance with state regulations and employer policies). Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean living environment. Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and meaningful activities. Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and community outings when required. Monitor and report changes in the client's physical, emotional, or mental condition to supervisors or family members. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and client observations. Follow all safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and confidentiality requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous caregiving, home health, or personal care experience preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is a plus, if required by state law. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required. Ability to pass a background check and meet employment screening requirements. Strong observation and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to assist with lifting, standing, bending, and transferring clients. Working Conditions Work may be performed in private homes, assisted living communities, or healthcare facilities. Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts, may be required. Position may involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to employer-specified weight limits.
