Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Companion Aids / Caregivers to provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing clients' quality of life through attentive caregiving, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs as needed Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with care plans Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer clients Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being Document observations and report any changes in health status to supervising staff Follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including Alzheimer's, dementia, or autism-specific care strategies Support clients during medical appointments or outings within the community Requirements Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer's or dementia is a plus Ability to assist with heavy lifting and use mobility aids safely Strong observational skills for patient safety and well-being monitoring Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various care environments Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy Highschool Diploma / GED NO Criminal background This role is vital in providing compassionate support that enhances the lives of individuals requiring assistance due to age, disability, or health conditions.
