Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability Support residents with medication reminders and basic administration under supervision or as trained Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and repositioning Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed to promote proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and assisting with light housekeeping tasks Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory support techniques Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current Ability to operate standard passenger cars for resident transportation when necessary Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout shifts Join us in creating a supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for.
