Job Description
Caregiver Job Description Duties:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing living spaces
- Support residents in maintaining their rights and independence
- Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily routines
- Implement care plans for individuals with dementia or autism
- Lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
- Knowledge of medication administration, first aid, and vital signs monitoring is beneficial

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
