  • Caregiver, you will learn the skills and coaching techniques to help other adults shape their lives into a picture they once only dreamed of. The Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Caregiver is responsible for a variety of duties related to the overall care for those who reside in the AmeriServe International Residential Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide transportation to and from activities/appointments. Assist in the implementation of individual plans for individuals and behavior plan goals. Assist individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preference and individual plans. Assist and encourage individuals in the establishment of social networks. Promote participation and involvement in community outings. Ensure each individuals rights are protected. Treat individuals with dignity and respect.
Activities of Daily Living:
Administer medications to individuals as assigned. Observe individuals for changes in behavior or health. Ensure individuals are dressed neatly and appropriately and are groomed at all times. Assist and encourage individuals to care for immediate personal needs such as toileting, bathing, washing their hands and eating. Prepare nutritional meals based on individual needs and preferences. Encourage individuals to assist in the preparation of meals and snacks as appropriate to their individual plans and behavior plan. Keep residence
  • both interior and exterior and the resident's personal space clean, organized, and tidy, and encourage them to participate in upkeep as appropriate according to their individual plan.
