Cedar Valley Community Support Services, Inc. (CVCSS) has immediate openings for Direct Care Professionals (DCP) in our 24 hour home in Waterloo. This position is responsible for assisting 3 individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities who need 24 hour assistance and supervision in maintaining/obtaining daily living skills enabling them to live as independently as possible in the community. No hands-on care is needed outside of passing medications, as members are fully ambulatory and only require guidance, support, or reminders. Our members need support with accessing the community for doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and leisure, social and recreational pursuits. DCP's assist with cooking healthy meals, setting up weekly medications and taking them as prescribed, cleaning/organizing member's homes, assisting with understanding paperwork, self-advocacy, and communication skills. Excellent opportunity for anyone requiring a variety of work schedules as we can offer a flexible scheduled as needed! Full-time and part-time opportunities available! High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, current auto insurance and a good driving record is required. All training is provided. Hourly Pay Rate starts at $17.00/hour for "awake" hours and $8.50 for Sleep hours (typically 11pm-6am). Wages contingent on experience and education, with no hourly maximum!
