Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of life for residents or clients through attentive and respectful care. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed. Support medication administration following care plans and ensure proper documentation of medication schedules. Engage in patient observation to identify any signs of distress or health issues, especially in individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met. Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and resident's rights is advantageous. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or manual handling are a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks required for patient transfer and mobility support. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to all safety standards including HIPAA compliance.
