Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, tracking changes, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals promptly. Support medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed. Facilitate safe patient transfers using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of residents' living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices to promote a healthy environment. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive communication and respecting residents' rights and preferences. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures. Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring tools, and resident rights within healthcare or community care environments. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while assisting with patient transfers or mobility needs. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's and memory care), or developmental disabilities is highly valued.
