Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations for privacy and confidentiality Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive atmosphere that respects residents' rights and promotes dignity Assist with transportation needs for appointments or community outings using appropriate personal transportation methods Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support Proficiency in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and following care plans accurately Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills for effective client interaction while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to caregiving or nursing are a plus Familiarity with patient personal care assistance, assisting with ADLs, hospice support, and home & community care experience Join us in providing compassionate care that enhances the quality of life for those we serve!
