Part time AWAKE Overnight from 10 pm to 6 am at two group homes in Hermon. The schedule is Friday and Saturday in one home located on Rt 2 in Hermon and Sunday and Monday in another home on the Fuller Road in Hermon Overnights are great shifts if you're a student, to supplement another job, or to get back into the workforce. Overnights are also great shifts to work if you're new to the field and want to learn more or if you've spent years in the field and want to step back from the fast paced day shifts. Overnights require ongoing supervision for safety and support and interaction with members as needed. There is cleaning and organizing to do, but also a lot of downtime. It takes a special skill to be awake all night, but if that's you and you care for people this is the job you want. We are the highest around at $18 to start!! • Provide direct care to individuals with autism and/or ID, including assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals with their healthcare needs, including medication administration, and other care as needed
• Assist with household chores, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
• Engage in social work to promote independence and social skills among residents.
• Collaborate with other care professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Encourage and support residents in their personal interests and hobbies.
• Participate in regular training and education to improve skills and knowledge in member care and social work. Skills
• Ability to transfer and assist members with mobility issues.
• Experience in group home settings or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of member care and medication administration.
• Familiarity with senior care in some cases
• Knowledge of social work principles and practices.
• Comfortable working with individuals with autism, dementia and/or other needs.
• Ability to work effectively with others, including family members and healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs.
