Responsibilities Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare teams. Administer medication following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed. Support patients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and personalized engagement. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with team members about resident needs and rights. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders supports your success in this role. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays enhances your ability to provide personalized support. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in manual handling, HIPAA compliance, or resident's rights is advantageous.
