Description Team Lead, Direct Care Professional | Lead with Purpose. Make Every Day Meaningful. Wellspring Lutheran Services - Bethesda Homes, Frankenmuth | On-site | Full-time | Hourly $20.50 | Accepting applications until August 28, 2026. As the Lead Direct Care Professional, you will serve as both a caregiver and a leader. You will mentor and support Direct Care Professionals while helping ensure every individual receives compassionate, person-centered care that reflects their unique needs, preferences, and aspirations. You will also play an important role in helping each individual pursue their personal goals. Through participation in Individual Plans of Service (IPOS), resident activities, and ongoing support, you will contribute to meaningful experiences that encourage growth, engagement, and self-determination. What You'll Be Responsible For As a Lead Direct Care Professional, you'll help create a safe, welcoming, and person-centered home environment by: Leading, mentoring, and supporting Direct Care Professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Providing direct support with personal care, medication administration, daily living activities, and community engagement. Coordinating appointments, transportation, and activities that encourage participation in the community. Helping maintain accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with care plans, medical orders, and regulatory requirements. Supporting meal planning and preparation while ensuring individual dietary preferences and needs are respected. Participating in the development of Individual Plans of Service and advocating for the needs and goals of residents. Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment. Assisting with quality assurance activities, emergency preparedness, medication audits, inventories, and other operational responsibilities that help the home run smoothly. What You'll Bring Associate degree in a related field preferred, or a professional license such as CNA - not required. Previous experience in direct care, healthcare, or a related support environment preferred. Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
