Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in our behavioral health facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive personal care, patient observation, and compassionate caregiving. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring support with daily activities and health monitoring. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support medication administration under supervision and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met. Provide companionship and emotional support while respecting residents' rights and promoting independence. Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring client safety at all times. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to observe patients carefully and respond appropriately to their needs. Knowledge of behavioral health practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or autism spectrum disorder is preferred. Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring techniques, medication administration procedures, and patient transfer methods. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in manual handling or heavy lifting is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a caregiving team while maintaining client confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
