This role offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by delivering comprehensive assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive approach to caregiving, ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and dignity at all times. Whether living on-site or assisting remotely, you will be a vital part of creating a nurturing environment that promotes independence and well-being. Duties Provide attentive personal care assistance including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and compliance Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments or community outings Implement specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities including memory care techniques and behavioral support strategies Use manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely during patient transfers while adhering to safety protocols Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, care plans, medication logs, and incident reports in accordance with healthcare standards Qualifications Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication management, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Hands-on experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's support, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Russian and Cantonese is highly desirable to serve diverse client needs Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional training in patient transfer methods or specialized caregiving is preferred Compassionate attitude with a commitment to respecting residents' rights and promoting their independence within a safe environment Join us if you're ready to bring energy into caregiving!
