Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) working the 3PM to 11PM shift! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents in a long-term care or assisted living setting. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, accurately documenting all patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper procedures are followed in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and maintaining a safe environment Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the facility Assist with transfers and mobility using patient transfer methods appropriate for each resident's condition and safety requirements Requirements Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification or equivalent licensure Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or hospitals is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (CPR) certification required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia is a plus Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) systems for accurate documentation Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform manual handling tasks following safe lifting practices Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members Join us in delivering exceptional care that enhances the quality of life for our residents!
