Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support and care to individuals with disabilities and seniors in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve, demonstrating empathy and patience in all interactions. This role is crucial in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their independence. Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support individuals with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Maintain accurate records of client care, including daily activities and medication administration. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Ensure a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as needed. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding client progress and concerns. Experience Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following areas: Senior care or working in a nursing home environment. Understanding of medical terminology related to caregiving. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other disabilities. Previous experience in caregiving roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
