Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team for the evening shift from 2PM to 10PM. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior and long-term care, with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments. The caregiver will provide attentive, respectful, and comprehensive care to promote residents' well-being, independence, and dignity while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments. Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate documentation. Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's disease and dementia-related behaviors, employing appropriate behavior management techniques. Operate manual handling equipment safely for resident transfers and repositioning to prevent injury. Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain cleanliness of resident areas through routine cleaning and sanitation practices in accordance with health standards. Follow resident's rights policies diligently, respecting privacy and individual preferences at all times. Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in assisting with ADLs and providing personal care tailored to individual needs. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support strategies, and memory care best practices. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in medication administration is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe patient lifting practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving and client communication. Familiarity with home & community care standards and group home environments is beneficial.
