Overview We are seeking an energetic and experienced In-Home Caregiver to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive personal and practical assistance to clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and independence. Your dedication will help clients maintain their dignity while receiving the highest standard of care in their own homes. Responsibilities Assist clients with all daily living activities including bathing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, and transfer using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans. Support patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders through attentive observation and personalized engagement. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Offer transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or social outings while ensuring client safety at all times. Requirements Proven experience working with seniors or disabled individuals in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings. Strong knowledge of patient observation, dementia care (including Alzheimer's), hospice care, and intellectual/developmental disabilities support. Ability to perform patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; experience with manual handling is essential. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care activities. Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform tasks that require manual handling; experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus.
