Duties Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, recognizing changes, and reporting findings accurately. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Support residents with mobility and transfers using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Maintain detailed care plans, document patient progress, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Administer medications safely following prescribed instructions and assist with medication management routines. Engage in patient observation to identify potential health concerns or behavioral changes, especially in individuals with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders. Requirements Fluency in Spanish is essential; strong English communication skills are also required. Prior experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices. Familiarity with patient monitoring tools such as vital signs measurement and first aid/CPR certification. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus.
