Responsibilities:
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide support with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation based on client needs.
Companionship:
Offer emotional support and engage in meaningful interactions to promote the mental well-being of clients. Participate in recreational activities as appropriate.
Meal Preparation:
Assist with meal planning and preparation, adhering to dietary guidelines. Ensure clients receive proper nutrition and hydration.
Light Housekeeping:
Perform light housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and organized living space.
Observation and Reporting:
Monitor clients' physical and mental conditions and promptly report any changes to the designated supervisor or healthcare professionals.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, activities, and observations.
Qualifications:
Experience and Training:
1 year experience as a caregiver or completion of caregiver training programs. Familiarity with caregiving best practices.
Compassion:
Display compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to caregiving.
Communication Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to meet the physical demands of caregiving, including lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility.
Reliability:
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to being on-call as needed.
Background Check:
Successfully pass a criminal background check and other required screenings. Caregivers play a crucial role in providing responsive caregiving support to ensure the well-being of clients during various circumstances.
