Job Description
Support Professional We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professional to provide in-home and community-based services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in Wharton and Fort Bend County. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, maintain a professional demeanor, and support individuals in building daily living skills while encouraging community involvement and independence. Responsibilities
- Provide in-home and community support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism
- Monitoring and assisting individuals who work in the community.
- Assist with independent living skills and daily routines
- Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and activities as needed
- Help with grocery shopping and other community-based tasks
- Accompany individuals to recreational and community outings
- Identify appropriate community activities and outings that match individual interests and needs
- Work respectfully with individuals and families in the home environment
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and appropriate communication at all times Requirements
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Comfort working with diverse individuals and families
- Ability to work in the intimate setting of a family's home
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Reliable personal transportation and active auto insurance
