Job Description

Support Professional We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professional to provide in-home and community-based services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in Wharton and Fort Bend County. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, maintain a professional demeanor, and support individuals in building daily living skills while encouraging community involvement and independence. Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home and community support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism
  • Monitoring and assisting individuals who work in the community.
  • Assist with independent living skills and daily routines
  • Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and activities as needed
  • Help with grocery shopping and other community-based tasks
  • Accompany individuals to recreational and community outings
  • Identify appropriate community activities and outings that match individual interests and needs
  • Work respectfully with individuals and families in the home environment
  • Maintain professionalism, reliability, and appropriate communication at all times Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgment
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfort working with diverse individuals and families
  • Ability to work in the intimate setting of a family's home
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Reliable personal transportation and active auto insurance
  • Driving on a regular basis Schedule and Location This position serves clients in Wharton and Fort Bend County.
The typical schedule is Tuesday through Friday, with hours that may vary based on individual needs and assignments.
