Full Time w/benefits > 35hr/wk starting at $15.00/hr We are currently accepting applications for our day program activity center, drivers, and community supports positions serving people with developmental disabilities in the Tooele area.
F/T and P/T Shifts Available:

Please see important information regarding eligibility to work here Assists adults with developmental disabilities and brain injuries in a day program or residential setting with daily activities and assist with training skills and tasks. Tasks include assisting individuals with educational skills and recreational activities at the center and in the community and providing a safe environment. Full-time staff generally work 35-40 hours per week and are eligible for benefits the first of the month following a 60 day waiting period of full time employment. Benefits include co-paid health, vision, short term disability and dental insurance and vacation time benefits. A reliable vehicle with a decent driving record, smart phone, and a clean background is required. We are a drug free workplace. The salary range listed is what is available for this position; new appointments are generally started at the lower end of the range depending on education and experience.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAREGIVER / DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
As a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional, you support adults with developmental disabilities and brain injuries to live their best lives as independently as possible. In a residential setting or at our day program, you assist your clients with daily living activities and use effective teaching and mentoring techniques to teach them new skills and help them achieve goals. You are happy to assist with educational skills and recreational activities while providing a safe environment and helping them find greater access to the community. You are conscientious about reporting any concerns about their health and safety and keeping documentation accurate and up-to-date. You are energized by the dynamic team of people you work with and find the work of supporting people with developmental disabilities and brain injuries to live amazing lives according to their own needs and desires extremely rewarding!
QUALIFICATIONS 18
years old or older High school diploma or equivalent Own a smart phone Reliable transportation and a good driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug test Do you have strong written and verbal communication skills? Would you be able to maintain electronic records? Do you enjoy coaching and mentoring others? Are you patient, respectful, tactful, and calm under pressure? Do you have the heart for serving people with developmental disabilities and brain injuries? If so, you may be perfect for this caregiving position!
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time schedules are generally 8-hour shifts 5 days each week (35-40hours/week). Part-time schedules are typically 8-hour shifts 3 days per week or 4-hour shifts 5 days each week (24-25hours/week).

(ACS) Family-owned since 1987, we operate a social and community access hubs in Salt Lake and Tooele Counties along with integrated employment supports and in-home care for adults with developmental disabilities. Our day program hubs serve as community gathering hubs for participants to socialize, learn life skills, and access the greater community with their peers.
