LOOKING FOR 2-3 PERMANENT NEW CARE TEAM MEMBERS. HIGHEST NEED AND MOST HOURS AVAILABLE FOR PEOPLE TO WORK WEEKEND AND/OR EVENING SHIFTS.
My name is Sarah. I'm bedridden at this time from spinal injuries and looking for help with moving every day for my basic tasks and recovery activities. I'm a 35 year old woman, 5'3", 105 lbs, and seeking to add to my dedicated recovery team to get back to walking. This could be an ideal position for people interested in exercise science, athletic training, and/or rehab medicine. Last year I'd progressed to walking and swimming. I unfortunately went backwards again after losing some key supports. Our small team is working hard now to get me back on my feet again. We just need some more help from people excited to get me healthy again!!!
PREFERRED QUALITIES
A strong individual to safely help with physical repositioning, movement and exercises. Ideal height is 5'10" or taller (although ideal height varies depending on tasks), for the mechanical advantage of lifting me fully off the ground and easily reaching my suspension equipment. People who are comfortable with squats and deadlifts tend to have the easiest time. Other tasks include assisting in food prep, meal setup, laundry, cleaning, household management, errands. Interest in hiring on with a state-paid care giving agency preferred, but not required (free certification, paid training and benefits, $22/hr) Train with an awesome and supportive staff in aiding stretches and exercises, many of which are a 2 person assist. Safety and confidence is assured. Quality employees are leaving, looking to have a replacement care roster filled by August. Dial-A-Ride accessible, 4.5 miles from the Kamilche trading post. Work with the state agencies; Graceland and CDWA. Training and protocols are advised by medical professionals Contact Sarah via Text Message 360-490-5261
