We are seeking a dedicated Respite Youth Care Worker to join our team and provide essential care and support to young individuals in need.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision, care, and a nurturing environment for youth in a respite care setting.
Develop positive relationships with young individuals to foster trust and companionship. Engage in activities that promote emotional, social, and physical well-being. Support youth in developing independent living skills and achieving personal goals. Collaborate with a team of professionals to plan and implement individualized care plans. Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided, as well as any incidents or observations. Ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering to all organizational policies and safety regulations. Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the youth's well-being.
  • Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience working with youth in a care or support setting is a strong asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm in challenging situations. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the youth and the program. Valid CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire and Mandated Reporters Training Background check clearance as per organizational and state requirements.
