Job Description

Job Overview Open Interviews September 17, 2026 from 10am -2pm. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Direct Care Worker to join our residential youth (teenage girls) care team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support, supervision, and guidance to youth in a residential setting. Your efforts will foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes positive behavioral health, personal growth, and stability for young individuals facing various challenges. Please contact us at (304)453-1401 to schedule an individual interview if you are not available at the open interview times Responsibilities Provide a safe, supportive, and structured home environment Supervise residents and assist with daily routines Build positive, appropriate relationships with residents Use a patient, compassionate, and trauma - informed approach Encourage healthy choices, responsibility, coping skills, and personal growth Assist with meals, household tasks, recreation and activities Transport residents to appointments and community activities as needed Respond calmly and appropriately during challenging situations Follow treatment plans and agency policies Complete required documentation and communicate effectively with the team What we are looking for Responsible and dependable Able to set healthy, consistent boundaires Comfortable working with teenage girls who may have experienced trauma Calm, patient and able to use good judgment Works well as part of a team Positive role model Previous experience with adolescents, residential care, foster care, behavioral health, education, or human services is helpful- but a genuine desire to help teenage girls is what matters most Requirements At least 22 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Valid drivers license Must pass required CPS/APS and federal criminal background check Must be able to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed Golden girl provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with awake staff on duty. Applicants must be able to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout their scheduled shift.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
