U.S. VETS, the nation's largest nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran homelessness, is seeking a motivated Outreach Specialist to connect veterans experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness to housing and comprehensive support services. U.S. VETS
services by visiting shelters, treatment programs, transitional housing, sober living programs, soup kitchens, and other locations where people experiencing homelessness may congregate Maintain a database of client information and referrals to track veterans and schedule screening appointments Coordinate transportation for veterans to

sites and program events Collaborate with external service providers to ensure timely collection of required paperwork for client files Produce weekly reports of veterans encountered by the outreach team Assist with communication of upcoming projects and special events sponsored by the outreach team Attend weekly outreach meetings and participate in team activities Perform other duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in social services or related field Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and/or the veteran population One year of experience in social services (employment at

for at least six months may substitute for one year of experience) Strong oral, written, and communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to work within a team Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements Why Join
