Baptist Medical Center is looking for a Community and Special Event Coordinator to join our team at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a Full Time Day shift opportunity. The Community and Special Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing special events and community engagement activities that support patients, families, and the mission of Wolfson Children's Hospital. Working independently under the direction of the Family Support Services Manager, this role collaborates with hospital departments, community partners, donors, and volunteers to develop and manage engaging events that enhance the patient and family experience. The coordinator oversees event logistics, scheduling, attendance strategies, and community donations while fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Community and Special Event Coordinator, Job Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and evaluate special events, entertainment, and community engagement activities. Collaborate with hospital departments and community partners to ensure successful event execution. Coordinate event logistics, scheduling, vendors, volunteers, and on-site operations. Promote events and implement strategies to maximize attendance and participation. Manage community donations and assist with donor stewardship related to events. Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external community partners. Monitor event outcomes and recommend process improvements. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and budget guidelines.
Experience Requirements:
1- 2 years Event Planning and/or Coordinator 1-2
