Responsibilities Design and execute community outreach plans that align with organizational goals, focusing on underserved and culturally diverse populations. Build strong relationships with community organizations, schools, local leaders, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and expand program reach. Lead grassroots community organizing efforts through events, workshops, and informational sessions that promote health, education, or social services. Manage volunteer programs by recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing volunteers to support outreach activities. Develop engaging marketing materials using social media platforms, newsletters, flyers, and other channels to raise awareness about programs and initiatives. Collect data on community needs and outreach effectiveness to inform program development and improve engagement strategies. Provide public speaking at community events, health fairs, or meetings to promote services and educate audiences on key issues such as public health or addiction counseling. Skills Proven experience in community outreach, grassroots organizing, or social work with a focus on underserved communities. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams or managing volunteers effectively. Excellent public speaking abilities combined with compelling written communication skills for marketing and reporting purposes. Ability to develop innovative programs tailored to diverse cultural backgrounds while maintaining organizational objectives. Proficiency in social media management tools, data collection software, and general technical skills for outreach campaigns. Knowledge of public health principles, addiction counseling basics, or youth program development is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Bilingual capabilities are a plus for engaging non-English speaking community members effectively. CPR certification or similar emergency response training is preferred to ensure safety during outreach activities.
