Under the leadership of the Senior VP of Education and Career Development, the Director High School and Community Outreach Programs will be responsible for managing logistics, communications, and administrative duties to ensure the seamless operation of high school and community outreach programs, including the Leader in the Advancement of Science, Education, and Research (LASER) program and the Junior Clinical Research (JRC) Internships. The Director of High School and Community Outreach Programs actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods for providing professional development, enhancing mentorship and fostering student success. The Director of High School and Community Outreach Programs will promote the facility's mission, vision, and values by integrating them within program standards and practices. They will actively contribute to the success of the LASER and JRC programs while ensuring their alignment with organizational goals and community needs.POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS
:- Bachelor's degree in Education, Health Services, Public Health or related field, required.
- Master's degree in Education, Health Services, Public Health or related field, preferred.
- Experience in education, project coordination, community outreach, and/or project management, with a proven track record of strategic planning and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated success in budget management, resource allocation, and financial planning for educational programs.
- Experience in developing partnerships and collaborations with academic institutions, community organizations, and industry stakeholders.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational programming and workforce development initiatives.
- Visionary mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and advancing healthcare education.
- Deep understanding of educational programs and mentorship initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in writing and editing reports and other materials in the training and development.
- Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Understanding of industry best practices
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
: Requires reasoning ability, good independent judgment and a high degree of competency. Requires good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work with frequent interruptions. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are a must. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Responsibilities:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Program Development through building new opportunities for the community.
- Grant Acquisition and Management.
- Partnership Expansion with ISD's and other educational facilities.
- Operational growth of 30+ major events.
- Audience Expansion by increasing the population impacted through the community.
- Visibility & External Representation through webinars, national and local.
- Plan and execute the Leader in the Advancement of Science, Education, and Research (LASER) Program and the Junior Clinical Research (JRC) Internships.
- Oversee mentorship and curriculum development for the LASER and JRC students.
- Collaborate with academic institutions and external partners to promote research, innovation, and best practices in healthcare education.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with school districts and community organizations to support professional development and student success.
- Represent the health system at educational conferences, school district events, and community forums to promote educational excellence and programming.
- Manage budgetary and resource allocation for the high school and community outreach programs.
- Develop and implement performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives to measure the impact and effectiveness of the educational programs.
- Work alongside with the Directors of Education and Professional Development to develop strategies for fundraising and distribution of grant funds for educational initiatives and research projects.
- Develop a vision for the growth of the high school and community outreach programs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align educational strategies with organizational goals and priorities.
