The CREC will support the Catholic religious education program and work in coordination with Catholic clergy and Chapel personnel. Responsibilities Support Catholic religious education programs for children and adults Coordinate sacramental preparation programs Recruit, coordinate, and support program volunteers Assist with curriculum, scheduling, and religious education resources Maintain required program records and reports Support budget and program administration activities Coordinate special religious education programs and events Communicate and coordinate with Catholic clergy and Chapel personnel Qualifications Be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing Provide a letter of good standing from a local Catholic Priest Be an approved Catechist through the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS) and provide documentation of approval Possess a bachelor's degree in education or a related field, or qualifying equivalent experience Have at least two years of relevant experience Provide two professional references Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Possess knowledge of Catholic religious education and liturgical practices Be able to successfully complete required background, installation access, and training requirements A degree or educational background in theology or religious studies is preferred. Schedule This is a part time position requiring a minimum of approximately 30 hours per month , with additional hours potentially required to support major religious education programs, events, and activities.
