The mission of Our Lady of Peace is "Drawing near in community. Drawing near to Jesus." We are seeking a Director of Faith Formation who is passionate about bringing people together and leading them to Jesus. This employee works closely with the pastor to implement his vision and the Archbishop's, and to ensure alignment with all Archdiocesan standards. More specifically, the Director of Faith Formation will be responsible for creating, executing, growing, and supporting adult evangelization and catechetical efforts, including small groups, Bible studies, Alpha, and the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). He or she will also manage, execute, and grow catechetical programs for preschool-5th grade children and their parents, including Family Faith Formation program and sacrament preparation for baptism and First Reconciliation/First Communion. Finally, the Director of Faith Formation will collaborate with the Director of Youth Ministry, who is responsible for middle and high school faith formation and confirmation preparation. The Director of Faith Formation will also be responsible for managing and growing Eucharistic Adoration in the parish. We see this as tied to the evangelization and catechetical efforts, which must be grounded in and supported by prayer and relationship with Jesus Christ.
