JOB DESCRIPTION
The University of Florida is looking for an Admissions Officer I (Transfer Evaluations) to support the accurate evaluation and posting of transfer academic credit while providing exceptional service to prospective and current students. In this role, you will evaluate transcripts, test scores, military credit, and other forms of transferable academic credit; assist students, families, and university partners with admissions-related inquiries; support admissions operations; and contribute to process improvements and staff training. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Transfer Credit Evaluation Create and maintain the initial record of academic credit earned by transfer students. Evaluate and record transfer credit from electronic, paper, and PDF transcripts, as well as standardized test scores. Analyze coursework and independently determine appropriate equivalencies to University of Florida coursework. Assess the transferability of academic credit in accordance with university policies and guidelines. Evaluate and post graduate credit, UF international program credit, military credit, and credit-by-exam. Exercise independent judgment when reviewing complex transfer coursework and academic records. Student Support Serve as a resource for prospective and current students, parents, and university personnel regarding admissions and transfer credit processes. Respond to inquiries through walk-in visits, email, telephone, and other communication channels. Provide accurate information regarding freshman, transfer, and readmission application processes. Serve as a point of contact for complex admissions-related cases within OneStop Enrollment Services. Deliver professional, timely, and student-centered customer service. Collaborate with campus partners to support student enrollment and admissions-related needs. Data & Records Management Utilize Slate, OnBase, and Campus Solutions to review, process, and maintain student records. Accurately code transfer institution types, course levels, transferability, Gordon Rule requirements, and other academic indicators. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of student academic records and transfer credit data. Verify and enter transfer credit information in compliance with university policies and procedures. Assist with training admissions staff on transfer evaluation processes and best practices. Review workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality. Other Duties Provide cross-functional support within the Office of Admissions to ensure operational continuity. Collaborate with departments and Enrollment Management partners to support operational goals. Participate in committees, cross-functional teams, and division initiatives. Assist with admissions-related events and initiatives as assigned. Assist with the development of reference materials, training resources, and process documentation. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
EXPECTED SALARY

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED
Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate applications, transcripts, and student records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and complete multiple work assignments and training activities in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of University of Florida and State University System policies and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, applicants, and stakeholders. Experience providing exceptional customer service in a high-volume, service-oriented environment. Experience working with student information systems, CRM platforms, or related database applications; experience with Slate and/or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions preferred.
