Ina A. Colen Academy is a tuition-free public charter school of choice located in the Calesa Township Community in Marion County, Florida. Founded in 2020, Ina A. Colen Academy serves students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Along with the school's mission to cultivate passionate learners in an inclusive school community in which individuality and empathy for other through collaboration and active learning, its passionate team of teachers has contributed to the achievement of a Grade "A" for four academic years in a row! The Ina A. Colen Academy is looking for an Manager of the Aftercare Program who can make a positive impact on youth through after school activities.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as the Manager to the aftercare program to include supervision of staff, overall administration of the program and as a parent contact.
• Provide care and supervision to students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist students with daily tasks and activities.
• Implement behavior management techniques to promote a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student development.
• Utilize effective communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
• Support students with special needs or those requiring additional assistance.
• Engage students in recreational activities, tutoring sessions, and sports coaching.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with students or children in educational or recreational settings.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques.
• Ability to provide tutoring or assistance in various subjects.
• Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
• First aid certification is desirable.
• Experience in theater, camp counseling, or after school activities is a plus.
• Background in early childhood education is beneficial.
