Counselors actively supervise students, lead activities, assist with homework, and support each child's social and emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities Actively supervise and care for children at all times. Maintain accurate attendance and know the whereabouts of assigned students. Lead fun activities, including outdoor games, sports, arts & crafts, group games, and enrichment activities. Assist students with homework and provide academic support. Help children with daily needs and provide encouragement and emotional support. Use positive behavior-management techniques and reinforce program expectations. Assist with snack distribution and cleanup. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe program area. Communicate concerns, incidents, injuries, or behavioral issues to the Site Supervisor. Work cooperatively with other counselors, supervisors, school staff, children, and families. Follow all Camp Wannado Afterschool policies and safety procedures. Participate actively with the children rather than sitting or using personal phones while supervising.
