School Year Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling or Psychology and Maine Licensure (LCSW) and current CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education.
Position Description:
MSAD #11 is seeking a dynamic and compassionate School Social Worker to join our Student Support Team. This role is designed to provide school-based social work services across all grade levels within the school. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting student well-being, promoting positive school climates, and collaborating with educators, families, and community partners to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and interventions to students, including individual and group counseling sessions, as well as crisis response. Collaborate with special educators, support staff, service providers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement strategies that address student needs. Assist school and district teams with social-emotional learning, behavior intervention planning, and attendance improvement efforts. Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district policies and state/federal regulations. Participate in IEP meetings, offering data-informed feedback to support the development of appropriate goals. Conduct regular progress monitoring to track student growth and inform service adjustments. Teacher Pay Scale (2025-2026) Pending Negotiations Placement on the scale is dependent upon degree and experience.
