Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a School Social Worker. Your expertise will provide vital support and intervention for K-5 students, helping them succeed both socially and academically. This in-person contract opportunity involves working on-site at a single school, offering a focused environment with a manageable caseload of 30 to 40 students in both general and special education.
Key Qualifications:
Active, full School Social Work endorsement required State certification as a School Social Worker, fully certified prior to start Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5) preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to provide crisis intervention, individual/group counseling, and collaborate with family and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct social work services and counseling to general and special education students Assess students' needs and develop strategies supporting academic and social growth Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement personalized interventions Maintain thorough documentation and communicate student progress to appropriate parties Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, IEP teams, and school-wide initiatives Offer resources and referrals to students and families as needed
Position Details:
