Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a positive impact on young learners by supporting their well-being as a school social worker for an elementary caseload. This contract opportunity begins in early November 2026 and continues through the end of December 2026, providing coverage for a maternity leave. You'll be based in a collaborative educational environment, serving students at two elementary schools and working alongside dedicated faculty and staff. Your main focus will be to foster a supportive climate, address students' social and emotional needs, and provide guidance to promote personal growth and academic success during a critical time in their school year.
Desired Qualifications:
Current licensure as a school social worker Experience working in school settings, preferably elementary level Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and crisis intervention Ability to work with diverse student populations and families Effective communication and collaboration skills Capacity to document and maintain student records in compliance with regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct services and interventions to students, both in groups and one-on-one Consult with and support teachers, staff, and families regarding student concerns Coordinate resources and connect families to community agencies when needed Participate in individualized education plan (IEP) meetings and provide expertise related to social-emotional supports Maintain detailed, confidential documentation for all casework This contract offers the chance to make a meaningful difference within a vibrant, supportive school culture.
