Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a crucial role providing essential social-emotional support to students in a vibrant educational environment near Davison, Michigan. This contract opportunity focuses on direct work with general education students in both group and individual settings, supporting their mental health and overall well-being for the 2025/2026 school year. Openings are available for two elementary school positions and one high school position, allowing you to choose the age group that inspires you most.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree required—no substitutions; candidates without a graduate degree cannot be considered One or more of the following active licensures: Michigan LARA-issued license as a social worker, psychologist, marriage and family therapist, or professional counselor MDE credentialed master's level school psychologist, or school social worker Limited licensure under appropriate supervision, as specified by Michigan LARA and MDE requirements School Counselor License (SCL), Preliminary School Counselor Credential (PSCC), Temporary School Counselor License (TSCL), or a Michigan Teaching Certificate with School Counselor endorsement (with additional requirements as needed)
Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group social-emotional support for general education students Collaborate with classroom educators to implement positive behavior programs Facilitate professional learning sessions for staff as needed Serve as a visible, proactive presence throughout your assigned school building(s), addressing emerging student needs
